Album Review

Louisiana Rain is a delightfully eclectic romp that effectively showcases the full range of Teddy Morgan's talents. Although he is fluent in a number of different styles, Morgan is no mere blues encyclopedist -- he has absorbed classic blues traditions and spiked them with a modern spirit and a sense of swing. Most of the album is devoted to country-blues and jump blues, all of which are given a nice, laidback sense of swing which is utterly charming. ~ Thom Owens, Rovi
